Info I'm a real world map maker

Hi, I'm Klimantas, a map making digital artist. Pleased to meet you all
I'm interested in real (not alternate) history and linguistic/ethnic situation maps (on real world). The reasons for me being in Cartographers' Guild:
    1. To improve myself - I know some of you are way more experienced, I want to learn from you!
    2. To get inspired - most of you use a lot of fantasy in map making - that is something I haven't tried too much yet.
    3. To share my work and get feedback
    4. To contribute to the community of map making enthusiasts and professionals

To get an idea, I share my Deviant Art page with my maps below:

By the way, if there is a thread on historical or linguistic/ethnic map making, please let me know! ))

Hi Kilmantes, welcome to the guild. Basically the whole site usually attracts fantasy / historical although we dont specifically limit ourselves to that. You can post real place maps in the guild too as well as fantasy character portraits etc. As for the lingustics then yes we do have a forum for that but not all that many people post into it. Most people look at the whats new, or the posts today tho so if you post into that forum then I would expect people to see and reply to it. Here is the link:

Sounds interesting, but I guess we want to operate in different fields. Do you have a separate thread for such map making? How do you usually get feedback and advice for your non terrestrial maps knowing that most Cartographers guild members work on fantasy?

most of the feedback is in the form of people asking to use the spherical mapped images in short videos ,tv shows and in movies

one such short is the very very good " The wonders"
