    Help Mistruun Barrows

    Hey hey,

Been a while since I just posted a random WIP. For this, I have been chipping away at making VERISCAY(older version) a better adventure place for TTRPG, and is currently doing the Mistruun Barrows. But alas, underground dungeons are not the stuff I normally draw for something like DnD or Pathfinder etc.

Sooo, I really would love to know what little bits and bobs would make this better for a campaign adventure. (My problem lies in that I am not myself a DM/GM. So, I don't know what exactly to take account of when it comes to underground maps.)
Tx in advance for any feedback.

Sooo that depends on the Dungeon Master and the group. Some people really like a simple map with no details on it and just rely on the DM to describe everything they see hear & smell. Very much a "Theater of the Mind" experience. Others like me who are visual will like any details you put in, any furniture or features that are described in the text plus little extras that are unnecessary for the game but make it a realistic looking map.

I like what you have done so far, and you can add as much details as you want.

Here is a sample of one of my maps with lots of details.
Again, this is what I like, but, not everyone likes this type of map. Make what you like.

Hi Xcali, in my experience as DM, I think the most important thing is to have a background for the dungeon (in your case more, bc it is entirely excavated, not natural). So as long as the lore and the rooms were correlated, I think the dungeon will be of great use. For the details I will prefer that a long abandoned dungeon will have few, while a still in use dungeon would have a lot of forniture.
