and a nice, little village it is.
So I finally bought CD3. This is my first village that I've made in the program. I must say that I am very impressed with what you can accomplish with it. At the same time i now realize how much time it takes to create something really big (How do you do it Gwandarf, I'm impressed)
Well I thought I could put it up here for everyone to see. Nothing fancy...just a village.
cheers :-)

Good Job, and a nice map!

Loves me some simple villages. Methinks people get too caught up in doing cities and I think the roleplay experience is better in villages.

A very lovely map, I particularly like the little stone building on the island. It's a little out of place (that's a good thing), which helps distinguish this village from any other village in the countryside.
Though, its a bit strange that the river splits like that. Rivers rarely split on their own, and such a split it only temporary, to my knowledge.
So you went for it... nice map Clercon!
The bigger maps do indeed take a lot of time and perseverance. Try to set yourself some smaller goals if you want to do larger city - keep adding districts for example and keep grinding on them
But I agree with the others, a simple village can be very beautiful also and they make great practice.

Gandwarf has fallen into shadow...
Thought: The stonebuilding is intended to be some sort of defending point for the village. Maybe a bit unreallistic with a stonebuilding of that size in such a small village. But it looks good, the same thing has to go for the divided river as well :-)
Gwandarf: I'm trying to do something a bit bigger in scale at the moment. Just a small walled town. I put it up when I'm done. I must also say that I've had a lot of help from your tutorial. It saved a lot of time for me getting in to the program. So thanks.
