Hello one and all. My name is Anderzzon and I'm a hobby map-maker who started back in 2010 with a pen, some paper and an idea for a fantasy-land filled with vikings, monsters and magic. That idea grew and I now have an entire continent with a few countries with different cultures.

(Side-note, I am Swedish, so quite a few names will be in Swedish.)

So, let's start from the beginning. As I said I started with pen and paper on the land called Hargurike (Hargu-kingdom). The land of the Hargs which is a huge clan of northerners. The map started out looking like this:

As you can see it wasn't much, but enough to give the players of my campaign a sense of where they were at least. I then did some renditions to the map and added more detail and improved (at least imho) the mountains and alike. And finally I ended up with the following:

After that I made a few more maps of the neighboring countries. Each map improving at least a little. But I had one problem with the maps I made and that was the colour. So I decided to do some work in Photoshop (a program which I had NEVER used up until this point). And after about 20 hours total I ended up with the following:

Do note that the further north-east one "goes" on the map, the more incomplete it is. Of course this map used a lot of brushes (I can't remember all the names and I am sorry for not being able to give credit). And without these brushes I couldn't have done it. But I am happy with the result never the less considering my inexperience with Photoshop.

So yeah, this is the condensed version of my map making. I am now here in hopes of getting some feed-back and hopefully improve even further. Of course ideas are always welcome.

If someone has any questions feel free to ask!

Quick map-related facts:
I play a Swedish role playing game called "Drakar och Demoner" (Dragons and Demons), if there are any swedes here who's wonderin' what version: 4.
I take a lot of inspiration from different sources. For instance, the keen-eyed of you might have noticed that there is a city called Tanelorn in the north-eastern part of the map.
There are a lot more maps which I decided not to upload since I did scan the maps as soon as I made any changes in order to be able to see my own progress (ask and I will upload).
Each country can be explained in a quick sentence (Orelien - Basically feudal England. Jarsuum - The Byzantine Empire meets A thousand and One Nights and so forth).
