Hi all,

I'm Miska Fredman and I draw maps. I've been playing tabletop RPGs since the late 80's and pretty soon found my interest in drawing RPG maps. When I was a teenager (and played D&D and Rolemaster more) I used to put more effort in drawing maps for my adventures. But when I turned twentyish, I got more involved with school, family, work and all that stuff. So, life came in the way and I did not draw a single (seriously drawn) map in almost twenty years. In November 2015, while everyone else was growing their moustache, I decided to draw a map a day for the whole month and tried to lobby something called "#mapvember" on the social media sites. Well, that was when I found again the spark for drawing maps and I have drawn maps pretty actively again since then. I draw both sci-fi and fantasy maps and I'm hungry to learn more all the time and I have started to find my own style, but I like to try out different styles every now and then.

I have a blog at www.miskafredman.com where I release my (publicly released) maps, but I also publish maps on Patreon and commercially through a certain very popular RPG webstore. I have done some commission works, but I've recently been quite busy with my own RPG projects (I run an indie RPG company called Ironspine).

I've known about the Cartographer's Guild for a while already, but registered just a moment ago. I guess I consider myself a serious RPG cartographer now

Here's a sample of one of my more recent works and you can find more on my blog.
