Wired, this is pretty great - some of the best forests I've ever seen, all the more so because you can still pick out the hills underneath, which is pretty amazing. I hope your client gets off his butt and sends you some more info so we can see the cultures and communities!

I'm afraid I'll have to curb everybody's enthusiasm, mine included. My client was already pretty shaky when it came to the setting (I'm assuming he's making it up as he goes), so the information arriving on my end never got more concrete than "there's vampires, werewolfes, the collapse of the modern world, a thousand years later there's basically wilderness". Rather than me "populating" the map we've now agreed on a solution where I simply provide him with four basic location icons (city/tow/castle/ruin) as .PNGs in two sizes and he'll be able to make stuff up as he sees fit.

Above is the final version. This feels unfinished. I'll have to ... redevelop it on my own.

Edit: Okay, I will continue to work on a different, personal version of the map in this thread. Doing anything else seems like a wasted opportunity.
