    Wip My Tardis Map (WIP)

This is still a work in progress, but this is my attempt to map the unmappable. Currently 9th generation.

    The Map (WIP)

    Main Console Room

Primary Console Room is one hexagonal room in the center with five smaller rooms and the corridor access. The green hexagon in the center represents the console.

The Exterior Door is at the 9 o'clock position, consisting of the Inner door and the field coils used to generate the connection between the Tardis and its external shell.

At the 11 o'clock position is the first of the side rooms, a reconfigurable space, most often a science lab. Currently a storage space.

At the 1 o'clock position is the second side room, this one supporting the scanner panel. It has been used previously as a sitting room with food replicator.

At the 3 o'clock position is the main corridor door. This has in times past been the Fault Indicator Panels/Scanner panel.

At the 5 o'clock position is the third side room. The Third Doctor used it for his Wardrobe with pull out bed. Prior to that, it hosted a small bedroom unit.

At the 7 o'clock position is the fourth side room, the powder room (just a toilet and sink) for the Tardis in times past. Never shown.

The dark bluish-grey area is the service corridor, primarily used for maintenance. The yellow wall is a bulkhead, to act as containment in the event of an emergency.

    Innermost Ring with Console Room

Deck plan showing the Primary Console Room and the immediate surrounding rooms forming the inner ring. At the 12 o'clock position is Bedroom 1; 2 o'clock is Bathroom 1; 4 o'clock is the Habitability Services 1; 6 o'clock is Bedroom 2; 8 o'clock is Utility Room 1; and at 10 o'clock is the Observatory.

    Bedroom Module 1

Crew/passenger berthing is divided into twelve bedroom units, using one of three default layouts. Customization of the bedroom units can performed by any designated operator.

Queen rooms contain a queen-sized bed with a wrap-around headboard/sidetable unit and two personal wardrobe units on either side. opposite of the beds are two arm chairs with a small side table and two bookcases. Flanking the door are two tables.

Twin rooms contain two twin beds flanked on one side with a wardrobe unit, while a bachelor's chest acts as the side table in between. Again, on the opposite wall are two arm chairs with small side tables and two bookshelves.

Bunk Bed rooms contain two twin-sized mattresses flanked on either side by a wardrobe unit. Two desks with chairs are on the opposite side, either facing the wall or each other. Flanking the door is two bookcases.

In the center of the module is a hexagonal communal space, sometimes used for relaxation or exercise.

The sides facing a bank of bedroom units contain a small powder room (toilet/sink/towel rack). This can be turned off by the operators.

Typically only the powder rooms are reset after each use, bedroom units can be reset to their default state on request, with the occupant personal items restored afterward.

The dark bluish-gray areas are service corridors used for maintenance/noise abatement.

    Bathroom Module 1

One of several expanded bathroom modules that can be found scattered throughout the Tardis. This layout is very popular, as it contains a 44' wide pool in the center.

This unit contains eight private bathroom units, each containing a toilet stall, a large oval bath with shower, heated towel racks, a chaise lounge chair, storage cabinet, sink with mirror, and a clothes refresher at its side.

There are four sauna units as well, divided into two sections - the changing area with a slat bench with hooks for clothes, a storage cabinet, towel racks, and two showers; and the sauna itself, with two wide slat benches for lying or sitting.

For cleaning purposes, the Tardis resets the bathroom/sauna units to its default state, then restores any items that previous users may have left in the room.

The bluish-gray areas are the service corridors, used primarily for maintenance.

    Habitability Services Module 1

This module is an expansion on the "Sitting Room" available to Type 1 users and is split into three main areas: Lounge, Sickbay, Small Laboratories. The curved walls in the Lounge and Sickbay were retained to give a sense of openness.

The Lounge in this case is in the top left section. It is comprised of a small service bar against the central middle wall, then two rows of 4-person tables adjacent to the Self-Replenishing Buffet Service in the apposing corners. Two of the tables have been replaced with a sofa and two arm chairs facing a fireplace with a massive mantle - over it can be found the Seal of Rassilon. Bookcases flank each side of the fireplace.

Sickbay occupies the top right section and acts as a primary triage center for the treatment of minor injuries and to prep patients requiring more advanced proceedures. Against the central inner wall is the Consulting Office - the inner wall lined with cabinets, while a desk faces two visitor chairs. Glass pocket doors slide open to give access to this room while a glass facing wall allows the doctor on duty to observe a large swath of the room.

Flanking the center Consulting Office are two diagnostic/surgical beds. Against the outer wall of the room are eight monitoring beds, four pairs of two. In the corners on either side is a nurse's station with a cabinet of supplies.

The bottom middle area is the Small Laboratories section and is divided further into seven smaller compartments.

Central Monitoring station occupies the central inner wall position with six workstations. Pocket doors allow for easy access to the station.

Against the outer wall, from right to left is: Powder room (two stalls, sinks, towel racks); Lab 1: Chemistry (central lab table, wall cabinets for supplies and reference materials, sink and hazardous waste can); Lab 2: Biological (contains two lab hood units with stools, sink, hazardous waste can, and wrap-around work bench); Lab 3: General (workbench wraps against the back of the room, two facing bookcases for supplies and reference materials, two hazardous waste cans); Lab 4:Quarantine (airlock, two monitoring beds, cabinet, sink, and hazardous waste can); and the other Powder Room (two stalls, sinks, towel racks).

Dedicated facilities can be created as needed.

    Utility Room Module 1

The Utility Room is a general workshop/equipment storage area. Several Utility Rooms may be scattered throughout the deck plan as needed.

The layout of the Utility Room is rather simple -

Three large workbenches occupy the central core.

Six work stations are further out from the core, holding the 78 volumes of the Tardis Manual as well as various hand and power tools.

Three five-foot deep shelves in six sections ring the room, holding a variety of personal equipment, tools, and materials.

Two circular pads are linked to the room are for replicating larger parts and materials from the Architectural Reconfiguration System

    Small Library Module 1

Curved shelves ring the center area of the Library Room on both the ground floor and on the balcony level, connected by eight stairways. The inner circles of the room is also ringed by rows of study carrels with file cabinets and library tables. The center of the room is the reference desk with a Tardis Computer Interface terminal at the heart of the room.

While most believe the purpose of a library is a place to keep your books, they are mostly unaware of the true purpose of a Tardis Library. Since Tardises were mostly designed to record the history of an entire world from its creation until its destruction, the Library acts as a collection point for the written and printed works created by the cultures that existed on that world.

This room is often modded to resemble existing libraries on worlds the Tardis has visited, so its appearance, size, and position may change over time.

    Wardrobe Module 1

This two level structure consists of a ground floor and balcony level, each ringed with massive curved wardrobes containing a wide assortment of clothes and accessories appropriate for the world they are visiting. Eight changing rooms are provided at opposing sides of the Wardrobe on each level, with return chutes.

The center of the room has 16 library tables ringing a reference desk, complete with a central Tardis Computer Terminal Interface.

As with the library, the Wardrobe acts as a collection point for the observed fashions for the cultures being studied.

    Cloister Room

200 feet (61 meters) across, this columned internal garden room has benches and paths for displaying plants and assorted statues. Currently styled with the Seal of Rassilon, the operator may choose to mod this room to take on the appearance of other gardens.

The Cloister Room contains the Cloister Bell, a general alarm bell used to signal current or impending catastrophe to the Tardis.
