Rework on a World Map.

Greetings,

I need to rework a map that I had made years ago, the world has changed a lot during those years and there are plenty of changes and additions i want to make. One of my major problems is that the world map is really small pixel wise, so i cannot print it out i larger paper. I would like for the new map to be large enough i could print it on a poster at least 1 or 1.5 meters x 1m. From my research i think that 13k x 8k probably will suffice but you are the experts here I am open to suggestions. I will add below the world map that i need updating but also a sample map of a city that I have made with an awesome cartographer , Herwin Wielink , that unfortunately is not making maps any more. So if you have a style that is between the two and closer to the city to be honest hit me up. I would love to have a little illustration on the corners of the map with important sites of the world as Herwin does on his map.
