Default [WIP] The Construction of Acean

    Hello again, Cartographers!

After a good month of sporadic work and a lot of questioning myself, I have arrived at an elevation map for my world "Acean". It's plate tectonics I ran by the community in this thread, and I got some good advice out of this. I ultimately decided against a long form modeling of the tectonic history of the planet, since the system of magic I am developing for this world and universe impacts it in quite significant ways - a comment in that thread mentioned my world being very geologically active (especially considering the fact that it has much less surface oceans than earth) and while this originally made me reconsider my layout, the magic I defined (even before I began working on the layout of the world) gave me a perfect explanation (and, let's be honest here, an excuse to spare myself that step).

So, without further ado, I present my draft of an elevation map.
A few words to this: I considered using some fractal generator and while that would certainly make the whole world look more realistic, I find myself feeling like worlds and shapes generated by these just sort of "blend" into each other and stop being memorable to me. Thus, I drew all of this by "hand", which hopefully allows it to be somewhat distinct as far as "style" is concerned. That said, if you have any feedback toward that aspect, please do not hold back.

    Have a nice day,

Another Point to note: I plan on adding rivers and lakes at a later point. I plan on creating a climate map first to see which of the mountain ranges will likely have glaciers (which is mostly relevant in the equatorial regions).
