Hello! Though newly registered, I've looked around this site for ... well, um ... a while. I've always been very interested in fantasy mapping and have tried most of the programs available. Alas my skills at mapping are about equal to my skills in designing lunar landers and performing neurosurgery. Which brings me to why I've finally taken the leap and registered...

I've recently begun work on a novel (or, with luck, series of novels) and, perhaps, an accompanying campaign setting. I've been working to create a map for my world and ... did I mention that I'm not good at mapping? Anyway, several people suggested that this was the place to go both to learn the skills and to get help. So here I am!
