I'm so happy that I had time to work on the map I had in mind for this challenge! I have been very busy this Nov-Dec so I was unsure if I would have the time to work on this. Last minute but still... There are so many amazing maps already in this challenge that I feel incredibly blessed to be able to show my work along side them!

My concept for this map is the members of the Cartographers Guild have portals to other lands in order to study the lands that they will be creating a map of. It's a pocket of intense magical energy that converges on this island. I personally feel like every time I visit the Guild I am transported somewhere amazing so I felt like this map would emulate that.

I started this map in my sketchbook and the parchment texture is actually painted with coffee which J. Edwards said was appropriate since his maps could basically be sponsored by coffee. Hehe. I still need to clean it up a bit and I want to add some more things that would act as portals. I also need to add some names and details like that. I'm at a place that I'm happy with but I will try to get some work done before the end of the challenge.
