    Default Hech (Köppen climate map)

    IMG_0145.jpg

Hello all-- here's my first attempt at a Köppen climate map for a fantasy world tentatively named 'Hech'. It's an earthlike planet as far as size, axial tilt, length of day and year-- perhaps just a bit more tectonically active than earth. This is just a sketch, but I'm looking for feedback as far as the climatic zones-- is there anything glaringly unrealistic? I think I see a couple problematic areas, but I've been staring at it for too long, and I'd love to get some experts' eyes on it. I refrained from tackling the mountainous and hilly areas at this scale because of how convoluted they can get; that's why they're blank.

I followed the Climate Cookbook for the most part, but deviated slightly where Wikipedia and the Köppen-Geiger map available here contradicted Geoff.

Sorry it's a bit messy, but again, not meant to be a finished product. Don't hold back in your criticism please! I want to learn. Thanks.

    Hand-drawn with pencil and markers.
