Map Netrunner's Guide: An April 2021 Challenge Entry

The theme was cyberpunk. The total number of challenge entries was four. Hoping to encourage more entries, I decided to demonstrate that the theme was actually quite flexible by creating a fairly conventional dungeon map. So, how is it cyberpunk? Well, in classic cyberpunk fashion I ignored how computers actually work. This is a (likely virtual) page in a "netrunner's guide" showing the cyberspace structure of a section of a corporation's computer systems, represented to the hacker as a fantasy environment. Monsters and traps represent defensive software, libraries represent data storage, a forge might represent computerized factory equipment, etc.

The map is mainly stitched together out of elements created by XCali, Tiana*, Kier, Bogie, and myself. Much of the iconography should be obvious, though even I'm not sure exactly what the crystals and mushrooms represent. The font for the title is the aptly-named "Cyberpunk is Not Dead" by Aurelius, while the remaining text uses "LCD" by Samuel Reynolds.

    * - The Challenge winner, btw, in a landslide vote.
