Wow! That looks really cool.
Isometric Temple
I've been trying to get to grips with making isometric buildings on Inkscape. After some trial & error I ended up with this outlined temple. The vector form is about as detailed as I'm willing to take it, so next step will be adding some colour and textures in the GIMP.

UPDATE: added some shading to make it look more 3-dimensional.

That's very cool. Illustrator CS4 has a neat new(ish?) feature that allows you to group a set of vector objects and then color them with a fill tool, kind of like a coloring book - i.e. all of the ink "stays in the lines". Does Inkscape have something similar?

Yup. There is a bucket fill tool in inkscape that creates coloured fill objects "in the lines". It's been there a while.Originally Posted by mearrin69

I've now added a marble texture to the stone parts and tiling on the roof. It's still all gray though, should get some coloration in the next update.

Gandwarf has fallen into shadow...
Done adding contrast and colour. This should be the final version, unless I can find enthusiasm for further tweaking. The temple does have one major fault, that is the lack of shadows, but I thought those would have been be too difficult and tiresome to add.
