Gandwarf: Thanks for the title fix! The exclamations are to remind me that I need to replace those names with translations once I get them.
I like the shield symbols, they work well with the others you've already used.

As I am both Celtic and Viking, this sings to my inner barbarian
Well done and I am enjoying watching it develop.
Is this for an RPG project or "just 'cuz"?

AslanC: Let me know if I do something to upset your inner barbarian, because I have no Viking or Celtic ancestory, and I'm scared of barbarians who can be unforgiving in the face of ignorance.
This project is just cuz, but I try to think 'what if this was an RPG?' while mapping so that I'll think of things to add aside from towns and cities, like the addition of fortresses, and possibly continuing the border between Ireland and North Ireland to pass into this map to create some kind of conflict zone.
LOL!
No worries mate.
Keep up the good work and you have nothing to fear from my sword

I'm with Gandwarf - those shield icons are really quite amazing, and they fit really well.
I love following this map, because it's one of the most intriguing ones I've come across in a while. Can't wait to see more!

Howdy folks! This thread clearly died a quite while back, and that's because the map became impossible to handle on my old computer. Fortunately, I have a shiny new computer now with a lot more processing power and a very pleasant graphics card, so as you can imagine I am already playing around with the map at the moment, and updates will resume once again.
Just thought I'd mention it.
Always good to get a new toy and see what it can do Have fun.
