My wife and I have done it twice, looking for multiple caches in the same area at once. Once it warms up some, we plan to do some more.
Hey all,
I just recently started a new hobby with my fiancee called Geocaching. I was curious if any of the members here have ever messed around with it? Its kinda related, I use google maps on my gps powered phone to nail down the location of hidden treasure caches all over the world.
As a Geocacher, I get to hide my own caches too, and let the world know about it through the website. But I wanted to be a little more clever and make it a puzzle similar to a treasure map, and the gps coordinates for the cache lead you to the map with some clues, and from there you have to find the actual hidden treasure. The treasure is usually just basic knick-knacks, nothing fancy, its not really about the treasure so much as it is about finding it. If there are any fellow geocachers here, let me know.

Airports are a popular place to put Travel Bug Hotels.
my entire family is obsessed with geocaching... personally I don't mind it, but my parents and my grandpa are all fanatics
Thanks for a great idea for a geocache to setup....one full of city street maps....
And if you want cheap schwag.... www.orientaltrading.com is one of the better places I've found to get stuff at a low /unit cost. Now I've gone to making pinback-buttons.
I don't geocache but I do make a similar game of trying to cover the local trail networks for the Openstreetmap.
