Stunning stuff and a wonderful insight into how to make cool iso maps with illustrator. Lovely work floyd!
I have recently developed maps for Dinosaur World in Plant City, FL and Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Florida. I screen captured my work and compressed it into time lapse videos. Please have a look:

Holy smokes, dude! You are the friggin' Illustrator KING! Truly awesome stuff. Now I need a non-time-lapse version so I can follow what you're doing exactly. Illustrator stymies me beyond the basics. Watching you turn 2D dino sketches into 3D-looking objects is nothing short of amazing. Have some rep!

Thanks guys. I really appreciate it.
I have more work done with Illustrator online at http://www.escapekeygraphics.com/ill..._illustrations
and a Photoshop time lapse at

if you are interested, but neither are map related.

It is really impressive. I love fiddling with illustrator, but it's such a different approach to Photoshop that I've ever got into it. Watching these gives me some insight into the way this can work - especially the use of repeating patterns and your use of gradients. That's very interesting indeed. Thanks a lot for posting these - and please post some finished work in the Finished Maps forum - it would be great to have some of the finished versions on here.
Really awesome stuff, thx for sharing.
