Default *** May 2010 Challenge - Filling a gap in time and space ***

Because us CL's have been slightly tardy this month we have a late start and so I am proposing that this months challenge is going to be a short one just to get us back onto the month start and the duration for this is going to be two weeks.

To make the map manageable this months challenge is to map a single room or space. This room is to be located at the end of a portal that zaps characters and teleports or similarly forces them in one way into this area. The room can be fantasy or sci-fi or anything else. It must have no windows or exits, can be of any size. It can be a flight deck, torture chamber, bubble under the sea, portable hole, spell created space, wizards library, liches phylactery, altar, space capsule, inside of plant, inside of monster, an extra planer space, whatever is a bounded space that appears to have no obvious exits. You can fill it with all the expected stuff that might be found there and any extra unusual things that you feel like. You can show or mention what the space is and how the characters might return from it.

Voting will start on 25th of month with nicest looking and most imaginative map should win.

Hmmmm.....I have a COOL idea, but does it need to be a 'room' per se? If not, then I have a MONDO COOL Idea!

@NN: Room, space or some kind of bounded enclosure without exit or windows - though I reckon VDUs, false windows or windows onto nothingness, outer space that kind of thing would be ok. My thinking was that characters would not think that they could climb through or sensibly exist on the other side. They have to be sort of trapped in this space.

@mearrin: Cool. I don't remember that one but I know it had all sorts of strange rooms in that one. But yeah, map a take on that room if you like.
