I'd consider also adding in a "fade-out" mask onto the ocean.
You should be able to select the "water part" and then create a layer mask.
Then set up a gradient on that selection.
It should let the water be dark near the coastlines and fade out a bit further away. If set up well it looks like the coastlines have been gently painted with watercolours.

the hills look much better now... and haven't you forgotten a water body in the north?

so i did lol. and i tried to do the gradient thing with the water, is this what you meant?

Something like that. A bit more obvious (darker near the land, lighter further away).
