Looking good so far. I always like seeing 'real world' fantasy maps.
I've been tasked with making a map for our latest Ars Magica campaign, set to take place in Italy around 1220 AD. This is what I've come up with so far...still working on the rivers at this point. It took me about 4 bad starts before I got an effect that I liked for this map. I've used techniques from several different tutorials (notably Pasis' and Tear's) and twisted them around a bit to get a style that i liked. The plan at this point is to use the mountain symbol set from Ramah's Aronbor map.
Anyways, here it is so far.

I really like that stoney vibe you have going with the textures.
More please!
Here's my latest wip. I haven't had as much time to work onthis as I would like. Vacation is coming soon however.

Very shiny. As one of the GMs for this campaign, I approve!
However, Mt. Etna should be bigger.
Looking most excellent. Any plans to add some subtle color to the mountains and forests to help differentiate them? Right now you really have to look close to see which are mountains and which are trees.
I've made a little progress on the map. Now that some other things have cleared up, I should be able to make better progress on it.

Made some decent progress the last couple of days. The Alps should be fun...
