I'm usually happy to sell all rights when I do a bigger commission but I am a little busy with a handful of projects right now.

No, I am a paying client. It is a condition of the job, It is not a matter of wanting the rights. By "limited portfolio use" I mean size, and quality limits on digital (online, .pdf, etc.) portfolios that can be reproduced as opposed to in-person physical portfolios.

I was not impolite to start with. I was straightforward. I do not have to go out of my way to be polite as though I were asking for a favor. I am asking for a mutually beneficial transaction. If you don't want the job, don't take it.It seems more people are interested in being gnats than are interested in the job. So be it.
