WIP#15, style example. Now with flowy rivers.

Right now it's all coastlines and elevation. Trying to work out a style to use - I am not very artistic nor skilled with gimp etc to make cool mountains. so I gotta do something simple, like this.

Flowy rivers are a good thing, non-flowy rivers tend to make these big lake thingies Looks nice, man.
If the radiance of a thousand suns was to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...I am become Death, the Shatterer of worlds.

WIP#19: Enough for today!
Probably.
It amazes me how much time this stuff took. Anyway, I am fairly happy with the progress.

WIP#24: So I ended up working a little longer on this map.
Changed the lowland color - I hope it's better now - cleaned up the legend, added two "inset" boxes and a lot more mountains etc.

WIP#26: More Mountains!
I didn't work all that much on this map today, but I think I managed to fill in a fair amount of previously "blank space". Naturally, rivers etc still need to be added.

I love this map, and it is a huge inspiration to me. I've been watching your progress since this thread was starting and I love where it's going.
*bows* Thank you, sir.
WIP#28: Ending the weekend with fluff!
Added lots of rivers, and re-arranged the map's legend a bit. Mostly I added banners representing major nations. These are somewhat of a placeholder - I like some of them, dislike others - until I spend more time designing these things. The symbols (dragons, anchor etc, except the hammer) are from http://openclipart.org/ where they are listed as Public Domain.
