Yay. More P-A!

So I've thought long and hard about what to make.. ok maybe not, but I did think quite a while. Didn't come up with anything good until this morning when I woke up. So this i my first map of New York.
The setting: Alien invasion of the earth - New York has fallen and now functions as a mayor base for the Aliens.
No WIP yet - I just wanted to commit to the challenge ... and I've just woken up and still need my breakfast
Now if I can just figure out what is concidered NY of all that building mass out there... *lol*

So finally got around to starting my map ... for now its just the basic map but I plan to add more. I'm going for a setting in 1950 and not sure if some of the elements on the map wasn't there at that time - couldn't find a nice map from 1950 on the web so I went with a modern one.

I'm guessing any street named "Kennedy" wasn't named that in the 50's (unless it was named for the old man)...cool start anyway!!

Google is your friend. Usually. Searching on "map New York 1950s" or "map New York City 1950s" turns up a lot of false positives, but there's probably some good stuff somewhere (might have more luck with specific years in the search). Just at a quick dip, I found this panoramic map, which some person on the Internet, whom I don't know, guesstimates at about 1950, so that's good enough for me: http://eightface.com/files/images/nyc.panoramic.map.jpg
