    Slipguard, what is the axial tilt of Megalaos? Similar to that of earth, about 23.5 degrees? I've got a rough set of global pressures and winds in mind that really make central Paidixira pretty much HAVE to be desert, considering latitude and those mountains to the W & N.

    yeah, a desert in the north, especially if it is beside/in between mountains is acceptable. (see: Thompson River valley). so long as there is some (loose) logic behind the map, your good I think.

    What do you mean by that? The tropic of Capricorn goes right through Australia. It has classic tropical deserts. Saying "Australia" in a desert discussion is exactly equivalent to saying "Sahara".

    Hrmmm… You're right. I had it in my mind that it lay quite a bit further to the south than it does. Fact check failure.
