City mapping, yay! Haven't done a lot mapping lately, so I'm glad this challenge offers me a wonderful opportunity to get active once again.
This time, my entry is the city of Nimmerlicht (literally translated as "Neverlight"). I only created a very rough sketch yet, but I thought I'd post it so you can follow my progress. I'll also add a description of the city as it goes.
Let's see how this comes out

Now that the warm fuzzy part is over we can get back to the ritual dismemberments. Oh wait, it's not Tuesday is it?

Yeah, may be early, but hey, the challenge happened to come at the right time
Drew the basic city parts and a city wall. Don't know yet which style to use... Maybe something like a handdrawn map?

a handdrawn map is always nice ... just finished watcing Lord of the Rings again - love that mapping style, but its not so fitting for city mapping

Nice update! Really liking where you're going with it.
M
love the waterpainting look .. only critique are the lines used for hills, and the roads being a little to white

They are white because I didn't get round to any layer styles yet... And I'll change the hills when the time comes, don't worry. But thanks, I like the waterpainting myself

Sorry guys I'm having serious time problems at the moment, I can't finish it in time. I guess I have to pass on this challenge. Maybe I'll finish the map someday, but for now could someone maybe delete the thread? Thanks and see you soon!
