Looks really nice but the buildings seem a bit tall.

Eyeballing the map it looks like some buildings are about as high as the Williamsburg Bridge is long. The bridge is about 650m (2,150 ft) long (according to Google maps) where as the Empire State Building is only 381m (1,250 ft) tall. Roughly half the length of the bridge.

Thanks guys, just hope I can finish this ... as for the sizes, the buildings are indeed huge but i thought I could get away with it as it's supposed to be in the future ... cheers!

Heya, I didnt like where the map was going and wanted to finish at least one map for the challenge. So I did something I'm more familiar with. I created an overview of Fort Nieuw Amsterdam, the first fort the Dutch build on Manhattan... I put the handdrawn streets of new york in the background, so the time spend on that wasnt completely wasted cheers

that looks really good - but in all fairness, so did the other map - I'd throw a frame on it and call it done too
and I'm soooo envious of your drawing skills.. just "throwing" together a new map in the eleventh hour... ... great work

Absolutely beautiful. And like tilt, I'm also soooo envious of your drawing skills. I need to practice drawing more. I'd love to be able to do these hand drawn perspective maps....they're just so beautiful. I'm sorry you didn't like the earlier one, I thought it rocked. You should put both in the exhibition!
