    Post Hello from France !

Well, I don't really know how to introduce myself...
I'm a 15-year-old french role-player, who's trying to create his own med-fan game. So I need to make my own maps.
I'm a little bit poet, writer, guitarist and singer.
I don't speak english very well, I'm still learning it in sixth form.

I guess that's everything you need to know about me, hope you will get on with me

    Welcome aboard!
You'll find quite some frenchies in this forum, so make us proud
Your map will speak for yourself anyway and it's international

Look forward to see your map(s)
    Cheers

Trust me - your sixth-form English is better than my thirty-year-stale college French :-). As tilt said - precise English is not necessary. Is the English saying also found in French: a picture is worth a thousand words? Tell us what your game needs, and what styles of maps you like, and we can help steer you to the resources to get started. What software do you have access to?

If it is not obvious - the WIP thread Tilt refers to would be a Work In Progress - you'll see such scattered throughout the Mapmaking Discussion & Philosophy forums. Post whatever you desire help with, even from an early stage, and the experts' advice can quickly guide your efforts.

    Welcome!

    Thanks !

My maps will not speak , even for me, until I make them on Gimp or another software. But if you want to see my work on Battle for Wesnoth's map editor, I can try to upload it

Jbgibson : I have Gimp, AUtorealm and Battle for Wesnoth installed. I think I will buy Adobe Photoshop after Christmas.
