Well, I think this is about wrapped up unless I get any new bright ideas, though I might go back and rearrange some stuff. I feel like I kind of crippled myself for not coming with with some narrative behind the building--I ended up not knowing what to put in it, so I guess this will have to do.

I stuck the original shapes I based the building on in the corner--I saw Greason Wolfe do it on his, and I thought it was a good idea given the nature of the challenge. I also made a quick little 3D model.

Original was in 150dpi but it turned out too big a file, so I've dropped it down a bit...

I have to say it certainly oozes atmosphere and I love the way the lighting has all turned out.

This is top-notch RE, well done.

Excellent work RE. Love the included 3d image and the way you made what could have been rather boring into something that really rocks.

Wow. Nice. You really made the changes in elevation on the floor stand out...that's quite a feat!

Mearrin69--Thanks, I've tried a few different techniques for stairs and I've settled on one that is pretty easy/pretty effective involving several gradually contracting rectangles, each with a 0% fill and an outer glow layer effect (if they are leading up) and a inner glow layer effect (if they are going down). I'll get around to doing a mini-tutorial with all the tricks I've picked up sooner or later, I'm sure....
