Request for a political map

I'll give it a try, Zanannia. Two questions - could you suggest a language for me to use as a model for place names? And how up-to-date is this nation - basically 2011 equivalent, or are they behind the times developmentally?

For places, I was thinking of a vaguely Latinate style, like "Aquevion" or "Inea".

Also, these people are modern tech. They are fully up to date on technology.
