How to introduce myself ?
I fell on this board after a google search on PS brushes and map symbols.
I am a (pen & paper) role playing gamer, 34 years old, French (and geek...). I work on a personal fantasy world from scratch, to play with Pathfinder (D&D 3.75). I will need to design a global map to place my kingdoms, power places and natural frontiers, etc. I have already drawn my first draft as coastal contours, before the scan and clean image process. Work in progress (when I have time, the job is time consuming).
This website seems to be a great inspiration source to start.

Here you can see the first step (original is bigger) of my world, I named "Eridia". The template I will use :
PS : the image file is uploaded on google docs, it could not be displayed correctly.
Hand drawn on 4 x european A4 format (21 x 29,7 centimeters), then scanned, assembled, cleaned (and blurred strokes). This template is inspired by the Earth, as you can see. On bottom left, a meteorite fall from the stars, violently hitting the world in the first age of Eridia, causing numerous disasters. The coastal contours and shape of the continents were modified, as well as magical fields, civilizations, and geopolitics. This event marks the beginning of the second age, where only the survival prevailed.
