    Map The Empire of Rothmenar

    Hello,

I've recently registered into this site, but I've delayed introducing myself until I have something to show.

To view the map in my dA gallery, click the following: [The Empire of Rothmenar]

Basically, Ur is a planet inhabited by a felinoid species called the aorin, and Rothmenar is to Ur as the Roman Empire or the Hellenic civilization is to humanity. Rothmenar lies smack in the equatorial/tropical region, and its territories is largely made up of the Great Amrothian Rainforest. That is all I have for you, so if you want to know something more specific about my conworld, please do ask. Thanks.

    Regards,
    Tommy

Oh wow, thank you. I am considering to create a flat/2D version of the map on a later date. But rite now I am tired. Thanks for your comment!

That is a Fantastic map. I love the layout and the surprising amount of info about the general world worked into the piece as a whole. Really really cool stuff!

Yeah nice work and the border stuff is excellent.

This is quite nice...my only little nitpick is that some of the smaller text gets a bit lost (at least for me).

Thanks, guys. I spent three days on this. But I am going to improve on it. I feel that the terrain texture is interfering with the labels' legibility too much. This is a problem I will iron out soon enough.

Stee General: I will be making a flat/2D version of this with a cleaner look and feel, so the more legible labels will be accompanied with descriptions, and perhaps even city, town, settlement and ruin sprites/icons. I've never done sprites before, and I've seen some nifty location sprites in deviantART, so I'd like to start doing something I've never done before.
