I go by Bengal, or Thomas. I've been interested in fantasy maps for a long time, but unless you count a lot of pencil and paper attempts in school, I've only recently started attempting to create maps for the games I run and the supplements I write (Mostly using GIMP, which I'm still learning). My tools are a windows box built out of love and chewing gum, and a scroll-ball style mouse. Anything else I need, I'll have to pick up as resources allow.

I'll definitely check those out. It was actually Torstan's tutorial on creating an old school map in GIMP that drew me here in the first place. I'm looking forward to learning more.
