Cool idea, though the name was a bit of a throw off Your not the first though, so no biggie

This will be a map of a new version of Operation.
Not really Sort of inspired by a game that's featured in an Orson Scott Card short story, "Feed the Baby of Love Many Beans or Perish in the Flames of Hell." This game will be a kind of a battle between players (demigods, or something) to Ascend to divinity. Or something like that.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that Ascension was the best fitting name for what I want to do here. The other name ideas I had just didn't have the same ring. Calling it Deification, for example, just sounds kinda stupid imo Plus a game of Operation featuring Ascension was too funny of an idea for me not to mention
Why not "Apotheosis"? That's the term for obtaining divine status.
Oh! Yeah, that would work just as well as Ascension. Thanks man Any mods willing to change the title of my entry to Apotheosis?
hereby changed - although I liked Ascension better, its easy to understand and you don't have to look it up before playing

I figure I'm going to have the game board set in the greek underworld, though I'm having trouble finding good sources that describe the geography of Hades. I've got enough to make a map out of it, but I'm worried about it looking all wrong, like it was drawn by somebody who didn't do enough research Anybody have any really good greek mythology links?
I'm going to withdraw from this challenge - havn't even thought about this map in a week (or started drawing it for that matter!).
