    Map Unc 201.f

    This was my May/June Challenge entry. It was done in GIMP. It depicts another planet in danger of being exterminated by the evil Interworld Energy Corporation. Except this time the natives fight back...

    Can you talk a little bit about how you built the planet in the map? Was this done from scratch in gimp or do you use other software?

    This entire map was done in GIMP. There is a tutorial for the planet creation HERE. I followed the tutorial but couldn't get the script that the tut used to run so I created the planet base myself using the "map to sphere" function and some shadowing. Your results may vary.
