A bit of messing around with a cartouche design and some more filter effects.

Thanks.
I've been given the final city names and road network. The client also wanted some more mountains in the north. I've put in a few provisional water body names to balance the required ones so he has a bit more naming to do (unless he likes my rather bland and obvious names or decides those rivers and smaller seas/bays don't need names.)
I've also put the city names on paths for a more organic look and put in provisional locations for the cartouche and a compass rose, assuming we put them in on this map.
The halo around the text might look a bit odd in places, but I'm using a filter effect for it so I can update the text "live". In the final version it will be done differently for a cleaner look, but I need to finalize the text first.

Ooh, very nice Hai! I think this is my favorite of your maps so far. Way to develop your own style too, and an attractive one at that.
Cheers,

OK, here we have a few different options for the cartouche and/or scale and what are hopefully the last changes to the labels.

I like both the cartouches. The only small suggestion I would make is to either align the lettering of Illara horizontal or to exaggerate the slope/curve. At the moment it looks unintentionally misalinged. I just love the simplicity and weight of this map so much. It's so clear.
This is the kind of map I hope one day I will be able to draw. The style is so clean, the mountains and trees are all very nice.
Well done!
OK, this should be the final version if the client signs off on it.

It's a bit bigger than before at 120 DPI rather than 90 and just barely squeaks in under the forum file size limit.
Thanks to everyone for the comments.
PS: Corrected a couple of mistakes, the scale was off by a factor of 5 and a river was missnamed.

I just wanted to say that I really love the way that this map has turned out. I have seen various versions of it along the way and I am still finding new points of interest such as little swamp symbols in amongst the trees and other little details.
Great work in my opinion.
