Wow, I am really loving the style of mountains and hills! Also thanks for showing us how you did the creases, I'm going to have to borrow that for my map

    T'is be awesomo-fantastico.

The mountains look great and the overal style of the map is very appealing.

My only minor comment would be regarding the trees, which seem to have rather sharp borders, clashing with the hand-drawn look of the other elements.

    But otherwise, very cool map.

Also, the map looks like a bit of Bohemia-by-the-Sea ... or am I wrong?

While I like the trees, mountains and hills, I have to say that the rivers are too smooth compared to the realistic nature of the other elements in the map. Perhaps undulate the river banks, put in more bends of the river following the natural contours of the land. It just seems that such nice mountains and hills are countered by artificial looking rivers - just my opinion. Very good work otherwise.

    Well, time for another update.

I'm pretty much done here - smoothed the trees a bit, tweaked some labels and adjusted the creasing. Only thing is, it turns out the area the map covers is a bit too small for my plans.
Here's what I'm going to be doing with it now.

Doing it a section at a time has a few advantages (it's easier and more fun), and I can easily pop out the smaller regions and use them on their own.
Here's the second region by its self:

Now that I'm getting my workflow down, it's much, much faster than the first one was.

I played around with the framing a bit. I've also been making progress on filling in the rest of the map, obviously. I'll probably be able to finish up the bulk of it within the next few days, then I'll just have to go over it again and look for overlaps and the like.

I really like what I'm seeing. The wood bark background adds a very nice touch to it too.

That's really coming along nicely. Very dark and kind of Brothers Grimm looking.

Whoa. Impressive. Very good idea changing brushes, this is way better than the first one. A bit too crowded for my taste, I must confess, but that's only nitpicking. A great map indeed.
