I saw this Web site mentioned at EN World today:
http://www.heraldicclipart.com/catalog/index1.html
It's an extensive collection of clipart that can be used for creating heraldry, coats of arms, or just for map decoration. And since the March 2008 Cartographer's Annual for CC3 re-introduces the heraldry-making tools to the program, I thought it might be of interest.

Superb find, jaerdaph! I can see this resource as being very well used!
Thanks!
It passed my test when I found a GIF of a heron there. I've been searching a long time for a suitable heron to use to make the Aherne family crest in CC3 (my mother is an Aherne from Kinsale in County Cork, Ireland)!

Great Link... THANKS!!!
There's only one thing I hate about the clipart link.
NO

SEARCH!

Other than that, it is very nice.
Oh, and If I am missing the 'searchable' part, please let me know, cause I looked

Yeah, that is annoying, but you can do a Google search with this format:

Great link! I've been designing various heraldry/shields in my AD&D game and this would be perfect for that. Another resource I've used to find some copyright free heraldry/shields is the Mayflower Search Engine. Search for heraldry for some interesting images (not all of them are copyright free but there are certainly some interesting pics).
Cheers,
Tim

I just wanted to add that the Heraldry clipart Web site is actually referenced in the March 2008 Cartographer's Annual PDF guide. I must have missed that the first time I read it...
Turgenev, thanks for the link.
