    Default Arnonas Redux

So, as promised, I decided to finally restart that map of Arnonas I did a while back: http://www.cartographersguild.com/fi...n-arnonas.html

As you can see, I substantially increased the area of the map; I figure, I've got this fancy new PC and a brand spankin-new edition of photoshop, I might as well test the limits of what they can do. Don't expect super-fast progress on this; not only is it a fairly huge map (7000x5000) with a lot of space to fill, I'm busy working on other stuff at the same time. On the other hand, this is a shiny that's caught my attention for the moment though, so true to form I'll probably obsessively focus on this for a week or three and then forget about it for half a year.

Changes to this map will be:

    -Hand-drawn mountains and hills
-Many many more cities and towns and roads
    -A better scale
-A cleaner border along with some title ornamentation
-Coats-of-arms for as many of the nations, cities, and noble houses as I can think of
-Possible in-line notes as to political situations, alliances, etc.

Here's an update. I got lazy and decided to use some of Vandy's excellent brushes instead of drawing mountains. I'm not entirely happy with the way the nation names look; I think I either need to change the font type from Optimus Princeps to something else, or maybe italicize the names (? suggestions?)

Well, i do hope that you'll find the motivation to do some mountains of your own. Because i really want to see this map with some awesome D-Mountains
Hmm...i think italicizing might work. Why don't you give it a try?

Great looking map so far. I think the font is good, especially all caps nation names. Duchies, counties etc. make me think of Renaissance city-state Italy and the font fits very well with that.
