    I find colored pencils rather tricky to get right, but perhaps that's because I don't practice with them much; need a lot of patience to shade stuff smoothly and get the multiple layers of colors going to liven things up. And my scanner hates them. Watercolor pencils are interesting... I've tried the Inktense pencils a few times... they pack a wallop in pigment strength though, and it's permanent when it dissolves. Acrylics are more my thing. If you ever give them a try, let me know!

    Yeah tell me about it. Colored pencils are fiiiine, kinda. Like you said it takes a lot of patience shading and getting it to look smooth. For this map I didn't have much patience .
