Thersis northern Sea

Maybe some texture suggesting waves, foam or currents?... I don't really know, the only thing that comes to my mind right now is the sea in - Max -'s "Realm of Hades".

Perhaps I should remove in totalthe light sea areas , as probably from top wouln't be that visible ?

Also I was thinking to shape more the west to give more variability to terrain and add so e more separation among microregions , like for example bottom left to be more isolated as spain by mainland europe witha mountain range cut , eventually add a mini sea arcipelago too to create a possible antagonist cradle of civilization to the mediterranean one on center ...
