Wow, that is a super awesome map...especially if this is your first try. Have some Rep.!
One critique: Is it just me or are some symbols sharper defined then others (looking at the map zoomed in)?! And i am not talking about symbols that are under labels. For example some mountains are sharper than others and same goes for trees. It is a little distracting.

Clearly your eyes are better than mine cos I've not seen this till you make me notice it....bravo!!
I used many brushes for the mountains and I should have given a closer look at them. (I really need a tablet!)
On my next map I'll try to pay more attention.
