Sorry you feel that way, Hai Etlik.

Filter Forge is a stand alone product, as well as a photoshop plug in.

You can go to the website and browse through the filter results (many of which allow you to view them as seamlessly tiling) perhaps you could take screenshots and use them in a map?

    best

Silver is not too bad for WINE. I've been using WINE on my Mac to play Legend of Grimrock II, and although it crashes every half hour or so, I'm able to save my progress. :-)

From what i understand (although I never herd of FF before this contest) one is in 3d and the other is in 2d. FF offers more possibility to generate textures.

I played a little bit with it and from the looks of it, it is a pretty powerful tool for generating procedural filters - which can be applied to images. It is possible to generate completely new images (so you can create textures) or to apply the filters to existing images. I do not have photoshop so I do not know how powerful the photoshop integration is, as a standalone tool it can do some pretty cool stuff.

I'd like to participate, and will try to post something interesting. However, I have too much commission work at the moment to ethically devote much time to it this week.
