    Your scales are still inconsistent.
Loomad village is 10 miles across, Klippstone is bigger. For example Paris in its largest dimension is less than 10 miles across.
The rivers have Amazon size in width but are much shorter.

The wood texture is really perfect. I would desaturate the colors a bit but this is a matter of taste.

    I've gone for 0 - 2 - 4 - 8 on the scale now. Think that fits better?

Yes that would fit ok. It stays that your rivers (are that rivers ?) in the marshes north are too wide for the small lenghth they have. As you can't make them longer, I would make them thinner about by half so that it looks more believable.

    Thanksfor the input Deadshade.

They were more supposed to signify large bits of broken headland that led to wide marshy inlets. I take your point, although I don't think I'm going to change them as I think I'm about done on the map now... I'm going to sit on it for a day then call it quits. It'll be released as finished to my podcast group The Formal Gamer next week.

I hugely appreciate the feedback you and Ascension have given; it has helped me develop new techniques and a new viewpoint on the map I've made. Cheers.

Man, this is fantastic in my opinion! I have a soft spot for detailed local maps, escpecially about areas with an out of the ordinary landscape. I can see how that map would work very good in a D&D campaign! Have some rep.

Thanks! A slightly updated map has been posted in the Fiished Maps forum.
