Default Maps and Science fiction Films

Dear all, I hope you are well. I'm new to the Guild and I was wondering if you could help me with something. Can you think of any science fiction films or series (apart from Game of Thrones) where one can see 1) fantasy maps or examples of future or alien cartographies? Many thanks for your help!

The intro to the "Wing Commander" movie had a nice, almost antique looking, kind of galaxy map. It's shown only very shortly, and not in overview... but it is still the best part of the whole movie.

    Perhaps like this? http://moviecitynews.com/archived/ar...p_fullsize.jpg

I web-searched "Movie Map" and found lots of images.

And by the way, welcome to the Guild!

One of our members, Torstan, made the world map used on the website for the Will Smith movie After Earth. It was not in the movie, but it is still pretty cool he got hired to do this.

In the Planet of the Apes TV show, there's an episode early on that features a wall map of the American Southwest and most of California in Ape Times. Not very detailed, but enough is represented to make one think...

I can't remember if it's in the film itself or only in the special features, but there's a world map somewhere in The Dark Crystal.

i think in "Battle for the planet of the apes "
during the early part of the "story teller's" introduction about "the law giver" there was a map

i will have to pop it in to the dvd player to check

but in the second movie zira showed Brent a map of the forbidden Zone

looks like from the first movie where Taylor is showing where he came from

    Hi Mickey,
I watched "Maze Runner" a few weeks ago, and I think its a good idea to draw maze-like maps. Here is a still of the movie, where the boys try to figure the world around them: http://www.pagetopremiere.com/wp-con...4.15.38-PM.png
