    Default World of Lerchanth

This is my "home brew" world.

    Hi MadCartographer, Nice map

The land shapes are quite good, nice mix of islands and good coastlines. I think you might do better with a different set of mountain icons, but I do really like the colors you've used.

Thank you chick, I'll look around for a new mountain icon... this is the 1st "world" I have made.

Superficially, number 3 looks best to me, but the truth is, at the very poor size and resolution you have posted, I really can't see any detail on either of them. If you can't post a better resolution, how about a cut of one of the ranges, so we can see the detail

Here you go with an up close look at one of the continents. This is actually the bust of a Gold Dragon from D&D.

Well, that looks better, but I don't think the "realistic" mountains fit the stylized map very well. How about some little mountain icons?

You mean like this map? If so, that will be done on the Regional maps I plan on doing for this world.

Those mountains look hand drawn to me, but yes, that's the idea. You can find mountain icons in CC products, and also lots of GIMP/Photoshop brushes. Look around in the Mapping Elements forum.

I will be doing that on the Regional maps, this is only the "world" map. Working on my 1st regional map now.
