Hello from Singapore

Hi!

My name is Diego. I am an aspiring CG artist and also a biologist.

I always loved to do art and also to play RPG's, and so it evolved into a passion for designing characters, items, monsters, maps and dungeons.

I am currently doing a PhD at the National University of Singapore. My research is on applying 3D computer graphics (Blender!!!) to design and animate black scavenger flies. I am proposing new ways to visualize their anatomy and study their biomechanics.

So, yeah, my main usage of CG art nowadays is 3D design and animation of insects, which is pretty cool, but I am trying to branch into other kinds of art, such as traditional watercolour and ink, as well as 2D digital painting with GIMP. And in the process, using all media to revive my passion for characters, items, monsters, maps and dungeons.
