The brownish-yellow colouring looks very good. Great map, as usual.
This is a rough-and-ready map made to help lock down some ideas for a RPG setting that I've been building around ideas from several sources, including old-school Runequest, ERB's Barsoom stories, and more. I say rough-and-ready because it has just enough political detail to give me a sense of what's going on. I don't have a whole lot of lore for this setting yet, but the basic idea behind it is an extra-solar planet settled by mankind at some point. There was already a sentient native species (mountain-dwelling insectoids), and in the early years of colonization, a couple other alien races got a foothold here as well as some human-variant races. Then some kind of Big Bad happened out in the universe that shut down FTL travel/stargates/whatever, cutting off the planet from the outside. It regressed to pseudo-medievalism, with bits and pieces of old-time tech lingering.

Interesting style. What i really like is the little "this is where we are"-miniature-map in the bottom-right corner of the map.
The mountain-style is better in zoomed-out view than zoomed-in imo. And for my taste there are too many lines in the sea, so to speak ^^
As always, very pleasing landshape. I also dig the red-font.

Great map! I really like the combination of the texture/colors/mountains. I can feel the Barsoom influence here (with less reddish colours).
A damn fine map Diamond ! The color choice, the labeling and fonts color, the texture. All blend in a subtle way. I can't rep you atm but will do soon
Thank you, guys; as always, it's appreciated.
Rough and ready?! I think it looks fantastic as is. I wouldn't change a thing. The fonts really work well with this style. I really like now you've done the mountains. Really nice work Diamond.

Agreed! I love the style of this piece. The rhumb lines, leather background, subtle elevation markings, and choppy big font (what font is that, anyway?) give it a distinctive look. Well done! Have some rep.
Beautiful map, and thanks for sharing the details of fonts and textures, that is a really thoughtful thing to do.
cheers,
