Default More maps for 'The Dark Eye' =)

Recently 'Die Verlorenen Lande' was published by Ulisses Games & Distribution so I'm free to publish pics. At least I wanted to show one piece I made for this adventure. This is part of the 'Splitterdämmerung'-Cycle, I'm very happy to be a part of this. =)

Used my known technique on this, it depicts a stronghold hammered in the rocks which is a crude mixture between a cloister and a castle. Well, hope you like it =)

    Cheers, Steffen

Hey Steffen, you know there can't be enough of your great DSA-maps for me, especially if they imply to "rough up" some Haffajas ... The world will be a more beautiful place after this indeed!
Besides the great layout and the lovely detailed elements, i really like that you added some "classic" dungeon flair with the little trap-icons.
But: how to get access to the cloister/castle?...i cant see any entrance in the "entrance-cave"...

Hah, that was the first thing I asked, too Since this castle is hidden, there is only a teleport way in and out, getting to room 01 (also the staples). Thanks for your kind words =)

I really like your style! Do you use a texture for the rock or all is hand drawn?

It is hand drawn once, I re-use this particular layer more often. But in every case there is some stuff you always have to do by hand, even if you use something like textures.

Wise advice. I have always looked for shortcuts, ways to make amazing things happen through some kind of automated software processes but, over the past few months I've been learning that sometimes you just have to sit down and drawn the darn bricks! Or rocks, or trees, or mountains. Good art is hard work, and yours is great!

    cheers,
