Hello, Sabri, welcome to the Guild!
I'll look forward to seeing some of your work!
Hi everybody, my name is sabri, and I discovered this awesome site for map-lovers thanks to a friend who is member (francissimo)
I fell in love with cartography by chance , I started as a geographer and finaly became cartographer. I love drawing and making a map.
I'm working in GIS, usually i'm working in technical mapping but I would like to learn and improve my skills in fantasy
mapping so your community looks like a good place to make funny maps.

Hi Sabri and welcome.
I like your maps. I am doing one a lot like yours right now and I am not using GIS and I think that maybe it would have been easier if I had used a GIS application. Were you using ArcGIS or was it something else ?
You have a lot of layers of information which is very nice. Do you generate the layers individually and then composite it all together at the end ? Thats basically what I am doing but I wondered how you managed it - was it Photoshop or similar or did you use ArcGIS all the way to the final artwork.
For example the map with the circles on it and then the roads on top. The commute times I think it was (Accessibilite dans Champagne-Ardennes). That one is great.
