    Map The Bridge Islands

With an Alpha and Coloured version.
Made in Photoshop and took about 5 or 6 hours (probably more).

    Is the river okay, guys?
And what do you think of the colours?

I'm still bad at that, and some great tips on colouring would be magnificent.

The colors look nice to me. The rivers seem to make sense as well. My only criticism would be that the black stroke surrounding the land looks sort of funny to my eye, almost like there is some sort of bevel between the land and sea.

    Cheers,

Thank you. The tutorial suggested that I stroke the edges of the lands in case I lost the definition of the coast lines. I guess I overdid it, then?

The river in the middle of the map I have a little trouble seeing what's going where. The coastline is a bit edgy as mentioned and I'd try to make the green and blue a little less uniform to get some dynamic into the map. Lovely shapes, keep up the good work

Thank you. The western river of the lake (assuming this is what you are talking about) is where it began, and then escaping to the north-east (or north).

its this part.. it looks like the river runs both north and south - and rivers don't do that

I think I'm agreeing with @tilt here...it looks like there are two outflows from the central lake/inner sea that combine to form the river flowing into the outer ocean. This is very unlikely to naturally occur. Deltas happen sometimes, especially when flood waters seasonally inundate a body of water, but these two outflows appear to be quite far apart. Even a vast lake like Victoria in Africa has only one outflow: the Nile.
